America's CupAmerica’s Cup – We were pleased and proud to be involved with the 32nd America’s Cup for a number of syndicates. Most of our work was for the South African America’s Cup Challenge ‘Team Shosholoza’ and the German America’s Cup Challenge ‘United Internet Team Germany’ and involved the project management of new masts, booms and spinnaker poles as well as on-site service assistance in Valencia.

Artemis 1Artemis 1 – An Owen Clarke designed IMOCA 60, originally built in New Zealand in 2002 and has sailed as both ‘Hexagon HSBC’ and ‘Pindar’ before being bought by Artemis Ocean Racing. We were asked to become involved following her dismasting in November 2007 and project managed the build of her new mast, boom and standing rigging package.

Artemis 2Artemis 2 – Rogers IMOCA 60 – we were asked by Simon Rogers of Rogers Yacht Design to project manage the build of the radical carbon wing mast, boom and outriggers for one of the latest Open 60’s to be built. Undertaken in difficult circumstances this was completed on time and under budget.

Faraway - Southern Wind 80Faraway – Southern Wind 80 – We managed the pre-purchase assessment of the structure, engineering, electrical and mast/rigging systems on behalf of an existing Client. We were also responsible for the MCA SCV Category 2 preparation and compliance which was finalised shortly after purchase. “Matelot” spent August cruising the Mediterranean before returning to Endeavour Quay, Gosport, for a 3 month refit which included the design, construction and installation of a custom carbon fibre bimini, mast/rigging service, new cockpit table, navigation system upgrade. Upon completion of the refit, Matelot sailed to Las Palmas to compete in the ARC 2007 and was the first boat to cross the finish line in St.Lucia. Pro-Sail continue to provide yacht management and shore support services to Matelot.

Hugo Boss 1 - Farr 65Hugo Boss 1 – Farr 65 – This is Alex Thompson’s first ‘Hugo Boss’. Our client owned the hull and deck and asked us to completely manage the specification, tendering, contract negotiation, purchasing and build. Another project on time and on budget – complete in 14 weeks.

Gweilo - GDNP 45m SchoonerGweilo – GDNP 45m Schooner – Gweilo is a sistership to the successful schooner ‘Windrose’ but built in wood, rather than aluminium. We project managed the construction of the masts, booms and bow sprit at Formula Yacht Spars Superyacht mast facility in the Netherlands.

Matelot - Southern Wind 80/02Matelot – Southern Wind 80/02 – On return to the UK after being recently purchased, we undertook a major refit for her new owner.

Mirabella VMirabella V – Another milestone project for us. We were one of the two project managers for the build, dressing, stepping and sea-trials of this remarkable yacht. Recently we were again asked to become involved, providing the logistics for her 5 year mast inspection at La Ciotat.

Matelot - Oyster 66/07Matelot – Oyster 66/07 – Appointed by the new Owner in September 2005 to provide yacht management and shore support services under a Long Term Agreement.

Silvertip - Dubois 34mSilvertip – Dubois 34m – Built by Yachting Developments, New Zealand in 2002, Pro-Sail were appointed by the new Capatin to manage a major engineering and electrical systems refit at Endeavour Quay, Gosport. The refit work included a full mast and rigging service, new generators, hydraulic system upgrade, new A/V system installation and an MCA Large Yacht Code 5 Year re-validation. Upon completion of the refit, Silvertip left the UK for Antigua and the Galapogos Islands via the Panama Canel.

Stay Calm - Swan 70Stay Calm – Swan 70 – Following the successful refits of the 34m Silvertip and the 24m Matelot at Endeavour Quay, Gosport, Pro-Sail Management have been appointed by the Owners of Stay Calm to manage their winter 2008/09 refit, also at Endeavour Quay, Gosport. The major items of work are to re-paint the 34m carbon mast, race boom and Park Avenue boom; supply and fit new generator, strip and epoxy coat the underwater area of the hull; strip and re-fair the keel fin and bulb, service rudder and bearings, repaint transom and transom door, service hydraulic cylinder and pump panels. Stay Calm is scheduled to be re-launched at the beginning of May before cruising Scandinavia.

MV Steel – Project management of the composite communications mast construction for the 54m Liebowitz & Pritchard Ice Class explorer yacht MV Steel, built by Pendennis Shipyard, UK.
